The Dubrovnik City Walls are one of the best-preserved medieval fortification systems in the world. Walking along these walls with a licensed local guide is a completely different experience from doing it alone.

Marina will bring the walls to life — explaining how they were built, how they protected the Republic of Dubrovnik for centuries, and what you are seeing as you walk. The views over the Old Town and the Adriatic Sea are simply breathtaking.

The main wall is approximately 2 kilometres long and includes several towers, bastions and turrets built between the 13th and 17th century. This tour is one of the most iconic experiences in Dubrovnik.

  Pile Square — Meeting pointWe meet at Pile Square and begin with a short introduction before entering the walls.

  Western entrance — Church of St. SaviourWe enter the walls at the first entrance and begin exploring the southern side.

  Fort St. John & Old HarbourAfter reaching Fort St. John, we continue above the Old City Harbour with stunning views over the sea.

  Northern side of the wallsWe proceed along the northern side with views over the rooftops of the Old Town.

  Minčeta FortressThe highest point of the city walls — a stunning circular tower with panoramic views in every direction.

  Return to Church of St. SaviourWe descend and conclude the tour near where we originally entered the walls.
